Account Strategist

Blend is growing fast and we need a talented and ambitious account strategist to help us capitalise on our market-leading position.

Blend is a B2B Inbound marketing agency and HubSpot partner, specialising in the technology space and based in Reading. Our clients come from the UK, North America and mainland Europe, and we are looking to expand our customer-base and service offering globally.

You will have a demonstrable interest in technology marketing and a good understanding of digital marketing; knowledge of HubSpot is not essential as full training provided, but it would be an advantage.

You will be required to support the Account Director in the development, implementation, analysis and improvement of inbound and digital marketing strategies for a portfolio of customers. We are looking for someone who has account management/strategy experience, and who loves engaging with clients and building strong lasting relationships. You will be confident in the using Marketing Automation Platforms and able to configure tools and identify opportunities to improve results and customer ROI through incremental improvements. You will be the primary point of contact for customers and responsible for providing timely, effective and information communication, as well as regular reporting.

  • Ensure customer success and be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients
  • Delivering first class client onboarding, that builds trust and confidence
  • Take on project management function to coordinate execution of strategy on time and within budget
  • Manage client expectations, monthly planning and task creation
  • Develop inbound & digital strategies for clients and work across departments to create a unified understanding of deliverables and focus on results
  • Provide recommendations based on marketing analytics and inbound data to drive results and identify new opportunities for our clients
  • Produce inbound performance reports to monitor and analyse inbound strategy effectiveness and to adapt and improve results
  • Write briefs & ensure all departments have the information required to execute and fulfil client requirements
    Diagnose customer challenges and provide timely solutions


  • 3 years within a client facing, Account/Project Management or similar role
  • Experience in successfully growing relationships and creating customer success for multiple clients
  • An understanding of inbound & digital marketing
  • Ability to create marketing strategies, following best practices, and associated resources
  • Take initiative: Identify opportunities for improvement and take them to the next level without being told
  • A positive & can do attitude in everything you do
  • Self-motivated & solution orientated
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral, as well as strong listening skills

Desirable skills and experience

  • HubSpot knowledge preferable, but not essential (training will be given)

  • Experience with project management

  • Knowledge within B2B Marketing

A salary of between £22k - £30k per annum, depending on experience.
